Paul first got started in the dog world when he was attending college in Indiana. His competitive spirit brought him to National Shoot to Retrieve Association (NASTRA) and then into walking shooting dog field trials. After college Paul enlisted in the Navy and traveled all around the world in service to the country. There he met his now wife, Sinead, and their shared passion for dogs grew. After attending lessons and seminars with Neal Kauder he quickly took a deep dive into the training world. After apprenticing with NK9 Training and J. Wells Kennels the Byrons have taken their training to the public and opened Maine Point Kennels. A full service training facility where they specialize in all breed obedience and upland gun dog training for both pointing and flushing breeds. As a brand ambassador of The Method Dog Training™ they can create a successful dog in the field and at home. As the head trainer Paul has the ability to seamlessly transition leadership from him back to the owner for an enjoyable companion dog you can take anywhere in any situation.
